The Darkside Cinema in Corvallis recently hosted the newly released “An Oregon Story, Saving Our Beaches, Farmland & More.” It was produced by the Parkdale Valley Land Trust in association with Bergman Productions. Written by Jim Gilbert and Joe Wilson, the film tells the story of efforts throughout Oregon’s history to preserve farmland and our beautiful landscape. Filmed in Washington and Oregon and using historical photos, recordings, and documents, it portrays the individuals, organizations, and unlikely alliances that have persistently worked for the adoption and the continued protections of our natural resources. Throughout the story, the League of Women Voters has played a role.
