About Membership
Who is eligible to join?
Any person 16 years and older who subscribes to the purposes and policy of the LWVUS shall be eligible for membership.
Why should I join?
You will gain knowledge and experience through the study and discussion of timely and important topics. Through participation in League projects, you will contribute valuable service to the community . You will discover new interests, develop new skills and learn about crucial issues in your community. As you meet others in League who share your interests, you will make professional contacts and develop lasting friendships.
How much time does it take?
It’s up to you! Many members choose to support the League only with their annual dues. Your membership alone gives us the political influence needed to build a voice for citizens and a force for change. We cover a broad spectrum of issues and concerns; you may choose to become involved in one or more of them by actively participating in a group study, or listening to a panel of experts at a meeting or just reading about them in one of our publications.
How much does it cost?
League membership is free for anyone 16 – 25 years old! We are a welcoming organization and do not want dues to be a barrier for anyone. Our recommended dues is $75 and in the membership portal you may pay as little as $20. Dues help the League pay for our expenses to put on events and get the word out (location costs, publicity costs, website, and MailChimp platform).

Membership dues are split between the League of Women Voters of Corvallis, LWV of Oregon, and LWVUS. Dues are paid annually, renewable on your Join Date anniversary each year.
What do I get?
You automatically become a member of LWV Oregon and LWV of the United States. You will receive their publications along with the bulletin from the LWV Corvallis which is usually published nine times each year. You will have the knowledge that you are adding your voice to a powerful force of members from all 50 states, Washington DC, the Virgin Islands, and Hong Kong.
