Sustainability Fair & Town Hall

Theme: The Arts: A Portal to Sustainability

The League of Women Voters will have a table at the Sustainability Fair from 5 to 7 pm. The fair is free to attend and registration is not necessary.

Following the Fair will be the Town Hall meeting from 7 - 9 pm. This year’s theme is “The Arts: A Portal to Sustainability”. A highlight of the program will be the keynote presentations by local leaders of the arts:

Cynthia Spencer-Hadlock of The Arts Center, representing the visual arts;
Carly Lettero of Spring Creek Project, representing the written and spoken arts; and
Rose Holdorf of Tarweed Folk School, representing the practical arts.

Attendance at the Sustainability Fair is free - no registration needed.

Workforce Housing - How can we bring more to Corvallis?

The program panel will focus on workforce housing – the missing middle.

Panel Members

Helen Higgins, Executive Director of the Corvallis Boys & Girls Club, will discuss why we need more workforce housing.
Jackie Keogh, Executive Director of Rooted Homes, a nonprofit organization in Central Oregon that is committed to providing environmentally sustainable and permanently affordable housing. She’ll discuss what is working in Central Oregon and why.
Eli Spevak founded Orange Spot, a housing development company pioneering new models of green infill housing in Portland and beyond. He will discuss the many ways to create affordable green housing and how to make creative use of infill.
