January & February 2024 will mark the 6th Know Your City Series. For 2024 we have two hybrid programs:

  1. January 30 – Finding Your Voice for Corvallis: Giving Input on How the City Spends Your Tax Dollars; 6:30-8pm
  2. February 6 – Getting Around in Corvallis: Improvements to the City’s Multi-Modal Transportation System; 6:30-8pm

You will be able to attend in person at the Corvallis Benton County Public Library Meeting Room or via zoom. Both programs will start at 6:30 pm.

A lot has been or will be changing with the Corvallis Multi-Modal transportation system – new pedestrian and bicycle features, new multi-purpose paths and neighborhood bikeways, improved mass transit services, new future parking system for downtown and new Federal ADA requirements. Join the city’s Transportation Management staff to learn about the changes on January 16.

Have you been wondering how the city decides to spend your tax dollars and how you could impact their decisions? Join a citizen and councilor on the city Budget Commission and a staff member who participates in the budget’s preparation to get your questions answered on January 30.

Know Your City is organized by the League’s Community Planning Committee. New members are always welcome to attend committee meetings. Contact the chair through the LWV website: Contact Community Planning – League of Women Voters of Corvallis (lwvcorvallis.org) if you would like to receive meeting notices.
