We continued the discussion on Universal Design with Nancy Evenson, retired architect, walking us through various options.  The goal would be to design homes and other living quarters to accommodate aging in place, disabilities and other life changes individuals might experience.  We’ve not decided where we will go with this – maybe a program or maybe a brochure.

We forwarded a letter supporting formation of the Tri-County Continuum of Care to the LWV Corvallis Board for their approval.

Lynn Jarvis raised her concern that there is much being done to support our unhoused population – many agencies working together. Yet, in conversations she is having with friends many have no concept of what services are being offered or who is offering them.  If a person wanted to volunteer and/or donate to an organization, they really would not know how to go about doing it.  In our discussion on where we might take this, we asked who is our audience and how might we reach them. Presenting a program on this topic to league members might be talking to the choir so how to go beyond this audience?

We brainstormed ideas on where to publicize our March program.

We have two possible new members – Alexis John Hammer and Jessica Hanne.
