Monday May 6, 7:00 PM Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, 645 NW Monroe Ave. Corvallis

The League of Women Voters of Corvallis invites the community to learn about Measure 2-123. Voters are being asked to pass Measure 2-123 to save funding for our recreation programs, pool, theater and library. The following panelists will present information about the levy:

  • Hal Brauner, former City Councilor, former chair of the Corvallis Sustainability Task Force, chair of the Corvallis Sustainable Budget Task Force
  • Julie Manning, former Corvallis Mayor, Vice President for Marketing, Public Relations and Community Health Promotion for Samaritan Health Services
  • Jacque Schreck, former City Councilor, former member of the Corvallis Budget Commission and current member of the Corvallis-Benton County Library Advisory Board and Library Foundation President
  • Mark Worden, former director of Osborn Aquatics Center.

Come ask your questions of these experts.

The League supports Measure 02-123 because it authorizes a five-year local levy to maintain funding for public services that are critical to the vitality and well-being of our community. This levy replaces the expiring levy and general obligation bond so it may result, if any, in only a modest increase in local property taxes. The May 21st Special Election will include unopposed School Board Candidates as well as the City Levy. Ballots MUST be received by 8 PM on Tuesday, May 24th. Ballot Drop Box Locations
