The League year is off to a great start! In July our Board had a successful retreat with incoming and outgoing board members. It was full of great discussions and board members stepping up to help the League in various ways. This year we look forward to reviving in-person discussion groups. We will also be holding meetings to discuss the Caring for Our Children Study and completing consensus questions for the LWV Oregon.
This League year I have one main goal: I would like to get more members actively involved in the League. You will see in this issue that we have many posts about “Volunteers Needed.” Please consider helping out in one area, or let us know if there is another area you’d like to help so that, together, we can make our League as effective as possible. Also, if you know of a non-member who has the skills we are looking for, please consider asking them to join the League.
We have amazing active members who are accomplishing great things! With more volunteers, we can be even more effective and do more to advance League priorities in our community.
In League,
The President’s Committee (Elisabeth Anderson, Annette Mills, and Nancy Rosenberger)
