Welcome to the first post from the Democracy in Action Workforce of the League of Women Voters of Corvallis.
Our purpose is to bring succinct information to you about threats to democracy and to recommend action. As the LWV US recently stated, we are experiencing a constitutional crisis. Rather than bowing to fear or confusion, we strive to engage and empower you. We want to make advocacy accessible.
Chaos, Uncertainty, Fear
A climate of fear and uncertainty surrounds us in our news feeds. There is no League study on
comba9ng a climate of fear. Experience shows us that in these times, one powerful way to
combat this negativity is to show care and kindness to ourselves, our family, and our
community. One kind word can change someone’s outlook instantly.
